BEFORE ASKING A QUESTION ABOUT THE HALL, PLEASE CHECK THE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS PAGE TO SEE WHETHER YOUR QUESTION HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED.
 
Orsett Village Hall is managed by a team of volunteers who are not available on a day to day basis. You can check availability online, but can only make bookings and payments by coming to the hall on a Monday evening between 7:45 and 8:30. You cannot make a booking over the phone or by email.
 

Check availability:

  You can check availability by following the Check Availability link to view the Bookings Diary. You can see whether your date/time is available before you come to the hall. You cannot check availability over the phone or by email.

Booking enquiries:

  The Bookings team are available in the Annexe meeting room of the hall on Monday evenings (not Bank Holidays) between 7:45 and 8:30 to:-
  • Take new bookings and deposits
  • Take cash or cheque balance payments
  • Answer any questions you may have about the hall
  • Bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis
  • You will not be able to look around the hall on a Monday evening as it is in use. About The Hall, Photos and Your Questions pages (links left) should give you all the information you need

Please note that you cannot make a booking over the phone or by email, only by going to the hall as above.

Changes to your booking:

  If you have any general enquiries or wish to change or cancel your booking please come to the hall on a Monday evening to see the Bookings team in the Annexe meeting room of the hall on Monday evenings (not Bank Holidays) between 7:45 and 8:30. You cannot make a change to your booking online, over the phone or by email.

Paying your balance:

  Your balance is due 6 weeks before your event. You will not get a reminder. Please bring cash or cheque to the Annexe meeting room of the hall on Monday evenings (not Bank Holidays) between 7:45 and 8:30. When you pay the balance, you will also be required to pay a 150 cash security deposit in cash for all bookings made, even children's parties. This will be returned to your account by BACS payment after your event, as long as the hall is left in the condition in which it was found as the per our terms and conditions, which will be given to you at the time of booking. If the hall is not left in a satisfactory condition, you will forfeit the full amount. When you turn up at the time of your event the keyholder will run through a short checklist of what is required of you as a hirer, and you will be asked to sign this agreement.
   

Emergencies on the day of your booking:

  If you have already made a booking, your email confirmation will contain the emergency contact number for the Keyholder. The keyholder cannot help with any changes to your booking time or day.
